Mental Fitness Programs

Exercise your memory and thinking abilities

"Where are my keys?"

"What's his name?"

"Did I make the right decision?"

Mental fitness can be maintained and improved just as physical health can be. This means sharpening memory as well as thinking abilities and decision making skills. A well designed mental exercise program can guide the process.

Scientific research indicates that the brains of people in their 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond have excess capacity. This capacity is referred to as "plasticity." It allows a person to better remember people, places and things. More importantly, it allows a person to maintain and improve their skills for problem solving and decision making.

Dallas clinical psychologist and cognitive coach, Dr. Bob Gordon says, "Mental fitness helps seniors have a better quality of life." It maximizes the seniorsí enjoyment of children and grandchildren and improves their relationship with those who care about them.

Dr. Bob has designed a mental fitness program. It is offered in a monthly subscription. It can also be tailored to classes and individual sessions and is based upon assessing a personís needs and goals. The sessions are simple, easy and enjoyable. They are conducted in Dr. Bobís Galleria office or in the privacy of a personís home.
